Welcome to St Thomas of Aquin's

St Thomas of Aquin’s is a school community that aims to meet the needs of all of our young people, no matter who they are, where they are from, whether they have a lively faith, are seeking answers to the questions they are asking, or profess no faith at all.
We endeavour to work with parents, carers and other partners to provide the best possible support for our young people as they journey through school towards, what we hope and pray, will be positive and sustained destinations which will bring them joy and fulfilment in their years beyond St Thomas’
I hope your visit to our website gives you a sense of the vibrant and caring community that staff, our young people and their parents/carers have helped St Thomas’ to become.
Opening of the school Wooden Spoon Sensory Room
On Friday 29th April 2022, the opening ceremony of our recently installed 'Wooden Spoon Sensory Room' took place in St Thomas of Aquins R.C. High school, with Tim Visser, Dutch rugby player, who played for the Scotland national team unveiling the plaque. Graham Allen, whose donation helped to underwrite the project along with Wooden Spoon committee members and trustees, St Thomas' Senior Leadership Team, teachers, support staff and pupils attended the ceremony and celebrated this important project for our school.
The aim of creating a sensory room within St Thomas' was to ensure the ongoing development of inclusive learning by engaging learners to foster a positive and inclusive environment based on positive relationships and behaviour and supporting young people's wellbeing and greater participation within their learning, through planned sensory interventions.
